Schweinsteiger Stay, Play Europa – Jose Mourinho Confirms Bastian To Stay And Play Europa.

Schweinsteiger Stay, Play Europa – Mourinho has confirmed that Bastian Schweinsteiger will be staying and joining the Europa squad since he scored a amazing goal in Manchester United’s win over Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup

The 32-year-old German veteran player and midfielder started against Wigan Athletic, his first start of the season and third appearance so far, scoring in United’s 4-0 win over.

Mourinho froze Schweinsteiger out when he joined United in the summer, but the former Germany international started training with the squad in December and will be staying at Old Trafford. ( And it could be seen that Mourinho is happy and pleased with the midfilder considering his performance on sunday FA cup against Wigan Athletic)

Jose Mourinho said: “Yes, he is staying. He is going to the Europa League list because we opened spaces with (Memphis) Depay and (Morgan) Schneiderlin (leaving).

“We don’t have many players, and we don’t have many options in midfield. Ninety minutes (against Wigan) was probably too hard for him (Bastian), from minutes 65-70 it was difficult for him but now I think he is happy.

“He was a good professional when he was not playing, and after having some minutes he will be the same. With so many competitions and games he will be an option.”

While waiting for Bastian Schweinsteiger first-team return, Jose Mourinho applauded the player’s professional performance. He expressed that the player is now likely to feature more for the United especially due to their fixture congestion at the very moment.

Meanwhile Mourinho declined a question about captain Wayne Rooney, after news surfaced in the national newspapers this weekend that he is the subject of negotiations over a move to China.
