About Nintendo Co. Ltd – Is Nintendo Replacing the Switch – All You Need To Know: Nintendo Co., Ltd. is a Japanese multinational video game company headquartered in Kyoto, Japan.
It develops video games and video game consoles. Nintendo was founded in 1889 as Nintendo Karuta by craftsman Fusajiro Yamauchi and originally produced handmade hanafuda playing cards.
Nintendo president Shuntaro Furukawa stated that there are “no plans” for a replacement or upgraded Switch at the moment. “We believe that it is important to continue to communicate the appeal of both Nintendo Switch systems and expand the installed base,” he said.
The bottom line is this: if you’re a Nintendo fan already, the Switch is an absolute must-buy, without question. If you’re a casual gamer, the Switch would likely be a good investment because you can use it for both your home console and handheld console needs without buying two separate devices.

The history of Nintendo begins in 1889, founded to produce handmade hanafuda playing cards. In the mid-1900s, the company licensed third-party card graphics, such as Disney characters. In the 1960s, it expanded into countless varieties of toys, including original designs by Gunpei Yokoi.
In 2017, Nintendo announced that they had shut down all productions of their newest console, the Nintendo Switch.
The Switch is especially impressive when it comes to multiplayer games too. There’s an extensive library of titles, so if you’re a Nintendo fan it’s a must-buy. It’s also ideal for casual gamers, but if you don’t see yourself using it much on the TV, go for the Switch Lite.
The new screen and improved kickstand are worth the extra $50 if you plan on playing portable a lot. Meanwhile, the $200 is great for both kids and those who don’t plan on docking the console to their TV. It’s a more dedicated portable system that’s easier to transport.
Though it’s hard to avoid spending money on games entirely, there are plenty of free Switch games available to download on the Nintendo eShop.
These can be a great option if you’re on a budget or if you just want to try out some new games commitment-free, and many of them are just great games, plain and simple.
While other Nintendo consoles, like the Wii, had channels for most streaming services, the Nintendo Switch has far fewer options available at this time. Right now, the only streaming apps that are available for users to download are for Hulu, YouTube, and Funimation.
