Anatii was born on the 8th of January 1993 in Bhisho, Eastern Cape, South Africa. His given name was Anathi Bhongo Mnyango. Anathi Bhongo Mnyango alias Anatii lost his father in 2008. Prior to his death, he was a radio presenter and as a result, Anatii and his three siblings grew up and found themselves loving music.

Anatii Biography reaveals that Anathi Bhongo Mnyango alias Anatii started his music journey professionally at age 16. As a fifteen-year-old, he worked with the Grammy Award-winning composer Lebo M. They worked on four songs together and had co-produced one of the tracks that was used for the 2009 Fifa Confederations Cup opening ceremony. He got a major South African placement with L-Tido, for the song When It Rains.

Anatii’s debut music album Artiifact was released on the 9th of September 2016. On the album, he featured several artists like South African artists like AKA, Cassper Nyovest, Nasty C and Uhuru, and the Nigerian singer Tiwa Savage. Other artists include the Somali-Canadian electronic duo Faarrow and American singer Omarion. His album was a huge success that he was selected as The Young Independents influencer of the year in August 2017. Being a classic man, he was selected by GQ South Africa as one of the best-dressed men in South Africa in October 2017.

Anathi Bhongo Mnyango alias Anatii was also selected to be a high-level influencer for the LuQuLuQu project. This was set up by the United Nations High Commission for Refugees.
