The system is such that institutions can only admit those who meet their cut off points. If a candidate fails to meet the cut-off mark, that student would certainly be denied admission irrespective of the candidate’s connection.

JAMB CAPS 2021 Login Portal and How to Check Admission Status

• Visit https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility/ preferably using a PC or chrome browser on mobile.
• Enter your login details (login email and password) you created your jamb account with. Meanwhile, see how you can access the JAMB CBT portal.
• If you don’t have an account yet, please click on Create an Account, or if you have forgotten your login details; click on Reset Password.
• After you have entered your correct login email and password, click on Login

How to Check Admission Status

• Go to the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) E-facility portal at portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility.
• Log in to your Jamb profile with your username and password.
• After successfully logging in, scroll down, then locate and click the ‘Check Admission Status‘ tab.
• Select your Exam year and Enter your registration number in the required columns.
• Finally, click on ‘Check Admission Status‘ to access your admission status.

Successfully admitted candidates are advised to ensure that they indicate the acceptance or rejection of admission online and timely to enable the processing of their admission.

How to Accept/Reject Course Transfer on CAPS Portal

NOTE: Once you accept the admission, your admission quest is over as you will no longer be available for other schools’ admission consideration.

On the other hand, if you reject the admission, you become available to other schools with free admission slots for admission consideration.

• Go to the JAMB E-facility portal at https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility/
• Supply your Email Address and Password in the required columns and then login.
• Then locate and click on ‘Check Admission Status’
• Select your examination year, supply your JAMB registration number in the required column and then click on the ‘Access my CAPS‘ button.

How to Accept or Reject Admission Offer on JAMB CAPS Platform

1. Go to the JAMB E-facility portal at https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/efacility/.
2. Supply your Email Address and Password in the required columns and then login.
3. Then locate and click on ‘Check Admission Status‘.
4. Select your examination year, supply your JAMB registration number in the required column and then click on the ‘Access my CAPS‘ button.
5. Select ‘Admission Status‘ on the left panel.
6. Locate and click on the ‘Search‘ button in front of your JAMB Registration Number to load your profile.
7. You can now accept/reject your admission offer under ‘Admission Profile’.

N/B: If you have been offered admission the Accept Admission and Reject Admission buttons will be active (clickable) as highlighted in Red below.

If you have NOT been offered admission yet, the Accepted Admission and Reject Admission buttons will be inactive (not clickable and greyed out)

Admission Status details (highlighted in blue) may differ. If not yet offered admission, please keep checking.

A Quick Update

After following the steps outlined above in other to check if you have been offered admission on the JAMB CAPS portal, there are series of messages you are bound to see after you have input your JAMB Registration Number.

Below are the messages you will likely receive when you check your admission status using the JAMB caps and what you need to do concerning that.

1. ADMITTED: If you check your admission status and what you see is admitted, then congratulations as you have been offered admission and you can now proceed to accept the admission and follow the next instruction after accepting your admission.

2. RECOMMENDED: If after checking your admission status and you see Recommended, it means you may have been offered admission in another school other than the one you chose or an opportunity was opened for you in another school.

3. NOT ADMITTED: The Third set of messages you may likely see when trying to check if you have been offered admission is Not Admitted.

In this case, you have been considered for admission just yet or you will not be offered admission at all. If you see this message, you are not allowed to accept admission.

4. ADMISSION IN PROGRESS, CHECK BACK LATER: If you see the above message bearing admission in progress, check back later, then it has a straightforward explanation which means that your school is yet to release the admission list or that they are still releasing the admission list.
