John Cena and his new fiancee Nikki Bella are opening up about their engagement, which happened live on TV during Wrestlemania last night!
The 39-year-old wrestler and actor got down on one knee to propose to his longtime love and they appeared on The Today Show on Monday morning (April 3) to discuss the special night.
“I never actually would have thought that he would have proposed in front of all those people, but that’s home for us, WWE is our home, it’s where we met, it’s our passion, it’s our life,” Nikki said. “Honestly, I could not ask for it to be any other way.”
John has previously said that he didn’t want to get married again after going through a divorce in 2012, but he explained why he changed his mind.
“I found a strong person I consider an inspiration, an equal, somebody who when I’m feeling down picks me up,” he said. “It took a person that strong to change my view on life.”
