Meghan Trainor Confesses She Had Second Vocal Surgery – The young female artiste just revealed that she secretly had vocal surgery done late last year!

The 23-year-old singer opened up during her interview on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday (April 7), where she performed her song “I’m a Lady” from the Smurfs: The Lost Village soundtrack – her first time singing in months!

“I really couldn’t talk since December,” Meghan told host Ellen. “It was like three months of vocal rest and then we decided, ‘Let’s get the surgery before Ellen.’”

“It was tough,” Meghan added, holding back tears. She first had surgery to repair a hemorrhaged vocal cord back in August 2015, causing her to cancel her tour.

“The real trooper was my boyfriend [Daryl Sabara] because he learned sign language for me,” she explained. “I would spell out words for him and I’d get really frustrated. And I’d be like, [‘No, wrong.’] And he would learn and he just stuck with me through it. He was great … He’s better than whatever I wished for.”
