Steps On How To Change Your Name On Facebook
1. Log in to your Facebook account.
2. Click on the “Gear icon”. It is at the top right corner of the page. ( See image 1 )

3. Click on “Settings” ( See image 1 )
NOTE: If you are using mobile app, click the menu button in the top left corner and scroll to Account Settings. Then select General and then tap Name.
4. Click on your name to open the name editor.

5. Now you can change the following;

- Your “First Name”
- Your “Middle Name” (Optional)
- Your “Last Name”
NOTE;
- You can only make changes to your name four time.
- Use your real name as it appears on your ID.
- Symbols and special characters are not allowed.
- Your nickname should be different from your real name.
6. Enter your password. Before you are allowed to finish and save changes, you would have to enter your password.
7. Click “Save Changes”
At this point your name is saved and the change would take effect shortly, although sometimes it could take up to 24 hours for the change to reflect.
