He is also the joint-owner of the obsolete and antiquated Mo’ hits Record label with D’banj. He is an influential figure in the Nigerian music industry and has been active since 2002.

Birth and Early Life
Don Jazzy was born and christened Micheal Collins Ajereh in Umuahia, Abia State on November 26, 1983. He is 37 years old. He is the son of Mr& Mrs Collins Ajereh. His father hails from Kwale, Delta state while his mother is a princess from Abia. Michael Collins Ajereh alias Don Jazzy is single and has three siblings namely; James Collins Enebeli, Joy Solano (married) and Charles Collins Enebeli. His brother, Charles Enebeli popularly known as D’Prince is also a musician in the Nigerian music industry and a businessman.

Don Jazzy’s parents relocated to Ajegunle, Lagos State which was where he was brought up. He received education at Federal Government College, Lagos and Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, Edo state where he studied Business Management. He discovered an interest in music from an early age of 12 and also learned how to play traditional and percussion instruments. His love for music and music instruments paved the way for him. His first visit to London, United Kingdom, was on invitation by his uncle.

Don Jazzy is not married and reportedly without any children. He disclosed he was in a relationship but he was not in a hurry to tie the knot. He stated”It is not difficult to find a wife; there are many beautiful women out there. It is not like I am ready; I am not the perfect version of what I would like to be to my wife and family. I want to work on myself until I am ready. By the time I am ready, if someone still wants to be with me, that would be great. It is not like I am looking for a wife and cannot find one. There are lots of nice and beautiful ladies out there. I don’t think I am there yet. Music Career
In 2004, Don Jazzy partnered with D’banj to form Mo’hits Records and in the following two years produced the albums No Long Thing and Rundown/Funk You. He also formed the popular introduction “It’s Don Jazzy Again!”. In 2008, He produced D’banj’s “Entertainer” album and also contributed to the Production of Wande Coal’s Album “Mushing to Mo’hits” which became one of the best albums to be released in Nigeria. Don Jazzy also performed background vocals for the artists he produced which include D’Banj, Sauce Kid, Dr SID, Ikechukwu, Kween, D’Prince, Jay-Z.
In 2011, He worked with Kanye West as a producer at Very Good Beatz and also collaborated with Jay-Z and Kanye West in the production of “Lift Off” in the “Watch On The Throne” album. In March 2012, The producer confirmed his breakup with D’banj due to artistic disagreements.
In May 2012, He promulgated a new record label, Mavin Records and released an album with the artists signed to his label. He stated, “I see Mavin Records being the power house of Music in Africa in the shortest possible time.” He also signed the popular singer Tiwa Savage.
In 2013, he had a disagreement with Wande coal which ultimately led to the end of the artist’s contract two days after. In 2014, he produced an activist song with Reekado Banks and Di’ja.
In 2015, at the Next Rated Headies Award given to Reekado Banks, Don Jazzy got into a disagreement with Olamide who believed the award should be given to Lil Kesh, his mentee. However, both sides ultimately settled their differences and made peace.
