Yvonne Jegede was born on the 25th of August,1983, in Agenebode, Edo State, Nigeria, to Mr and Mrs Jegede. Her primary and secondary education was in Lagos, Nigeria. After she obtained her Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE), she left Nigeria to study International Relations at a University in Cyprus, Europe.
Yvonne Jegede’s childhood was fun and exciting because she had a loving family that provided all her needs and gave her so much attention. Growing up, Yvonne wanted to become a beauty queen and one day, Miss Nigeria. Unfortunately, she did not have the opportunity to participate in any pageant because of her height.
Yvonne Jegede was married to Olakunle Fawole and the union is blessed with a son- Xavier Fawole.

Yvonne Jegede didn’t have the slightest idea that one day she would be a Nollywood star actress. But as fate would have it, she got the opportunity and did not back down. She embraced her newfound career path and is now passionate about acting.
Yvonne Jegede commenced her career as an actress in 2004 after Charles Novia invited her to be among the cast for his movie. It was on set of that movie that she met Uzodinma Okpechi, who invited her to feature in 2face Idibia’s African Queen video. Yvonne’s parents didn’t buy the idea of their daughter becoming an actress because they felt it was a career without prospects.
Eventually they came around, after she did a movie for the Redeemed Christian Church of God. Her father was a Redeemed church member, so he was pleased to see his daughter perform at the church’s convention ground.
Thus far, Yvonne Jegede has featured in over 150 movies and has produced about three movies.
