Olufemi Lawal Adebayo was born on December 31, 1972 in Lagos, Nigeria. He is a native of Ilorin, Kwara but grew up in Ebute Metta, Lagos. He attended Jender Age and Oke-Ode Grammar School for his primary and secondary education respectively.

Thereafter, Femi bagged an LL.B at the University of Ilorin, and a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Ibadan.

Personal Life

Femi’s first marriage failed, and eight years after, he married Omotayo Sanusi on 9 October 2016. Altogether, he is blessed with four children.

Femi practiced Law for two years, but even then, he still had interest in the entertainment industry. Seeing his father regularly on television kept motivating him to pursue his passion.

According to him, he usually followed his dad to the movie set and meeting veterans like Jide Kosoko, Iya Rainbow, Late Hubert Ogunde, e.t.c got his attention. Luckily, he also trained with the Awada Kerikeri, a group led by his father.

Femi had been on and off the screen due to his academics. He made a debut in his father’s first movie, Ogun Ajaye in 1985. Then in 1996, he came to limelight after taking a lead role in Owo Blow, a movie produced by Tade Ogidan. Thereafter, he got into the movie industry fully in 2006.

Since 2006, Femi has starred in over 500 movies, and have produced interesting films such as Jelili, Iro Funfun, Etiko Onigedu e.t.c He has also starred in few English movies like Ladies Gang with Mercy Johnson but feels more comfortable performing in his mother tongue.
