Gaming Laptops – Dell Introduces Pocket-Friendly G Series Gaming Laptops

Gaming Laptops – Dell Introduces Pocket-Friendly G Series Gaming Laptops: Dell has unveiled its refreshed G-Series gaming laptops today including one that made both our best cheap gaming laptops and best gaming laptops last year, the Dell G3 15.

The Dell G5 15 SE (and the standard Dell G5 15) received a major revamp last year that made it another standout budget option and Dell caught our eye at CES this year when it announced that the 2020 G5 15 SE would feature an AMD CPU and GPU.

Let’s take a look at what Dell has in store for the budget gaming laptop market in 2020.

GPU options are similarly upgraded with the base model now featuring an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 GPU with the ability to move up to a GTX 1650 Ti, GTX 1660 Ti, or the RTX 2060.

Memory options are still pretty limited with either 8 or 16GB of 2933MHz DDR4 RAM.

The somewhat dull display was one of our lone complaints regarding the G3 15 last year. However, we’ll have to wait to get it in for testing before we can tell if that’s been remedied, but all three display configurations are full HD and non-touch.

At the lower end, you have either 220 nits or 300 nits of brightness with a 60Hz refresh rate with a higher end 144Hz option also available.

Dell launches new Alienware and G-Series gaming laptops

On the afternoon of September 29, Dell Technologies officially launched a series of Alienware-branded products for gamers in Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Brunei, Myanmar and Mongolia. These product lines include mice, gaming keyboards, PC monitors, backpacks ..

Alienware m15 R6 and M15 Ryzen Edition R5

Alienware m15 R6 and m15 Ryzen Edition R5 are two gaming laptops equipped with Dell’s best configuration today. Like previous Dell laptop models.

These two laptop models have many component configurations for users to choose from, with prices increasing gradually depending on the strength of the components.

Specifically, the Alienware m15 R6 is equipped with Intel’s latest 11th generation Core™ H-series CPUs. Meanwhile, the M15 Ryzen Edition R5, as the name suggests, integrates AMD’s latest Ryzen 5000 H-Series CPUs.

In terms of graphics cards, both the m15 R6 and M15 Ryzen Edition R5 use Nvidia’s RTX 30-Series cards.

As for other components, the Alienware m15 R6 and m15 Ryzen Edition R5 are both equipped with DDR4 RAM with a bus speed of 3200Mhz, accompanied by an NVME M2 or M2 standard SSD.

Depending on their needs, users can choose the amount of RAM and SSD capacity (up to 16GB of RAM and 2TB of storage) when buying the m15 R6 and m15 Ryzen Edition R5.

In terms of display, Dell has equipped the Alienware m15 R6 and m15 Ryzen Edition R5 with a 15.6-inch screen, with resolution options including;

What Specs Does the Dell G15 Gaming Laptop Have?

At the moment, Dell is doing everything possible not to uncover this. Right now, buyers have three performance options available, with the top end represented by 115W TDP (thermal design power) and Nvidia’s RTX 3000 GPUs.

The laptop comes with a 15.6 inches screen, and the screen has a 360 HZ refresh rate. Sticking with the screen, you also get a low blue light display.

This is a real bonus if you have long gaming sessions. This can lead to eyestrain, which you should aim to reduce where possible. The blue light reduction can help here. The screen is TuV certified.

Dell also improved the thermal design, basing it on the Alienware gaming laptops it produces. Now you don’t have to worry about your laptop overheating.

The laptop can ship with an optional 4-zone RGB keyboard, which you can customize and control using AlienFX.
