Netflix Account Update – How To Cancel Your Netflix Account: If you want to cancel Netflix because you feel you’ve watched all of the good content it has to offer, here’s how you can cancel your account.
There are a few things you might worry about when you begin to think about canceling your subscriptions and that’s what I’m here to explain.
Cancel Your Netflix Accounts In Few Minutes
To terminate your subscription, quickly go to netflix.com/cancelplan and sign in with the email address and password you used for your account.

The moment you sign in, you’ll be given two options. It’s either you cancel your account but keep using it through your next billing date, or you downgrade your plan to save money each month.
If you pay for your Netflix account through a third party, like your wireless carrier, you’ll need to contact that company in order to have your Netflix subscription stopped.
Note: Your Account Isn’t Deleted
After canceling your subscription, Netflix will keep all information linked to your account for a period of 10 months. Your personal info such as your view history, account profiles, and favorites will still be there if you decide to restart your subscription within that time.
To get your personal data deleted before the end of the 10-month interval, you’ll need to send an email to privacy@netflix.com using the email address that’s linked to your Netflix account.
Change Your Password
Changing your password is advisable when you share the account with someone else. That way, whoever you share your account with doesn’t log into your account and restart the monthly fee.
- Sign in to your Netflix account.
- Click the arrow at the top right corner of the home page.
- Select ‘Account’ from the drop-down list.
- Click the ‘Cancel Membership’ box under the ‘Membership & Billing’ section.
- Click ‘Finish Cancellation’ to confirm.
